Kurt Ronn is a creative entrepreneur, a dedicated philanthropist, and a lifelong bow tie enthusiast.
Ronn founded national recruitment firm HRworks in 1998. He developed the company’s proprietary process, and revolutionized large-scale recruiting and executive search. HRworks supports mission-critical strategic talent acquisition initiatives across all industries. Clients include world-class organizations such as General Electric, The Home Depot, Starbucks, FedEx, Burberry, Victoria’s Secret, Cerberus Capital, Hewlett-Packard, and The Coca-Cola Company, as well as multiple venture-backed startups.
Ronn is a regular contributor to national media such as The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, and APM Marketplace, speaking on employment and entrepreneurial topics. He is a nationally-recognized expert in strategic talent acquisition, recruitment process, veteran/wounded-warrior transition, diversity, governance, merger/acquisition integration and entrepreneurship.
Ronn has held many interesting roles during his career, including designing women’s lingerie and dresses for Federated Department Stores/Macy’s. He was also a principle with one of the East Coast’s largest website development companies. Ronn is an avid cyclist, a reluctant triathlete, an enthusiastic racecar driver, and a budding metal sculptor.
Ronn sits on a number of corporate and community boards. He holds a leadership role with the Technical College System of Georgia, is an active member of Atlanta Technology Angels, and is an Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) mentor at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Additionally, Ronn supports various local causes through the CHARITYworks Foundation, the charity arm of HRworks.
Ronn has three children and a dog named, Teddy. Teddy is the official squirrel census take in Decatur and is more famous around town than Kurt.
